Babette Marzheuser-Wood is recognized among the world’s pre-eminent franchise lawyers. She is the founder and Managing Director of Dentons Franchise Advisory, which provides clients with integrated advice on franchising law as well as full-scope consulting services to develop and implement best-practice franchise strategies. She is also Co-head of the Europe Consumer Products and Services group at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm. She advises restaurant groups, hotels, retail stores, fashion and luxury brands in over 100 countries on the strategic use of licensing and franchise structures to grow and expand their business in the global marketplace. In addition to working in major franchising markets such as Europe, the UK and the US, Babette has extensive experience in emerging markets such as the Middle East, Africa, CEE/CIS and China. At this year’s Future Hospitality Summit, Babette will hold a two-hour workshop to share best-practices on how to start and maintain a successful franchise, and she will participate in a panel discussion on restaurant franchising. She will also have the honor of presenting the award for “Restaurant Franchise of the Year”.
