The Alnashie family are prominent and esteemed members of the business community in the GCC. Synonymous with entrepreneurship, resilience and diversity, the family successfully own and operate established businesses ranging rom jewellery to construction, contracting and hospitality. In 1985, Mr Bashir E. Alnashie focused his energy on the construction industry and now has over 35 years of achievements under his belt as the Chairman of Al Nasser & Al Nashie United Company (NNUC). In 2005, Hayder Alnashie joined the family business in Kuwait after completing his Bachelors of Engineering with Honours in the United Kingdom. His main objective was to modernize, grow and diversify, starting with the establishment of Al Nasser & Al Nashie United Company (NNUC). Four years later, the family business and NNUC merged and what followed was a decade of growth and expansion into Australia, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and finally Dubai in 2015. Today, NNUC is one of the leading construction and fitout contractors in the GCC region; with projects completed for some of the biggest families, companies and brands across multiple sectors including hotels, automotive and hospitality brands. NNUC broke barriers as one of the first construction companies to register with the United Nations for the Women’s Empowerment Programme. In 2019, Hayder went on to establish Dash Hospitality Group to provide a full spectrum of services for the F&B industry from consulting to management and franchising of restaurants and coffee shops. Dash Hospitality Group was born out of Hayder’s passion for food, technology and music combined with the skills he gained at NNUC. Dashs’ most exciting projects till date include opening and operating the first Coffee Planet franchise in the region & a partnership with home-grown Vietnamese fusion brand Goi Gourmet which opened in 2020. Early in 2021 Dash Hospitality launched uniQitchen, the first state-of-the-art cloud kitchen in Dubai Silicon Oasis; born out of a desire to set the standard for how a cloud kitchen should look and function in terms of hygiene, technology and sustainability.
