James Wrenn is Head of Hotel Advisory for Colliers Middle East and North Africa. He has 14 years commercial real estate experience primarily focused on the Hotel and Leisure segments. For the past 9 years he has been working with Colliers MENA based in the Dubai Head office. James has a strong track record across all areas of Hotel and Leisure consulting from Development Advisory, Operator Search/ Negotiation, Transactions and Valuations. His excellent knowledge of the Middle East and North/Sub-Saharan African Markets makes him one of the most experienced Hotel advisors in the region. He also has a strong network across European markets as part of the Colliers EMEA Transactions team and his previous work experience in the Irish/ UK Hotel real estate markets where he was involved in a number of high profile multi million euro transactions. James has an enormous passion for both the general Real Estate and Hotel Real Estate professions. He was appointed Head of the Colliers Graduate/ Experienced RICS Program in 2021, curating and overseeing the training of both young and more mature real estate professionals on their pathway to Chartership. He has a strong track record of Thought Leadership through speaking engagements and contribution to industry magazines, along with his role as Editor for Colliers well known periodic and white papers. James grew up in the hospitality business, and is from the popular tourist town of Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland and his family are still involved in sector. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), RICS Registered Valuer, and a Licenced Valuer in the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. James holds an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Glasgow and a BA in Economics from University College Cork.
