Fritz Dickamp was born in November 1990 and began his hospitality career in his teens as a bellhop at Kempinski. He then studied and worked in Scotland, the UK and the USA, graduating from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in International Hospitalty Management at the end of 2013. Studio 49 (www.studio-49.com) was founded in early 2015 by Fritz Dickamp and a fellow student and is one of the leading online marketing agencies in the hospitality and tourism industry. Since the company's inception, he has continuously increased Studio 49's reach and awareness by appearing as a keynote speaker at various tourism fairs, events and hospitality congresses, as well as being a guest lecturer at several European hospitality management schools, including Hotelschool Den Haag, Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and several others. While the topics of digitization and digital marketing in the hospitality industry are always at the center of his keynotes, presentations and workshops, he always designs them in such a way that both the audience and the potential readers enjoy the topics he conveys with his typical sense of humor and realism. Some of his recent appearances as a keynote speaker and presenter include appearances for ITB Berlin, Gastrosuisse, HotellerieSuisse, DEHOGA, Accor, World Travel Market (WTM) and more. Fritz is an entrepreneur at heart, which, combined with his passion for hospitality, makes him a real threat to all those who like stagnation and think that the industry is doing well as it is. Studio 49 has served over 200 clients internationally, most of them in the hospitality industry. In 2018, the company was awarded the German Brand Award in the category "Brand Activation Social Media" for a successfully completed customer project. Recently, Fritz initiated SMACK Hospitality Media (www.smack.media), a refreshing hospitality entertainment platform. He is the co-host of the Smack Hospitality Podcast (www.smack.media), a format that launched in the fall of 2019 and has quickly become a fan favorite among both industry veterans and newcomers due to its unprecedentedly open and fun format that covers a variety of aspects of the hospitality industry with some of the biggest names in the industry as regular guests.
