Abdullah Alharbi is Assistant Deputy Minister for Investment Enablement at the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Tourism. Having joined in March 2021, Alharbi leads the Ministry’s investors relations and tourism business environment activities with the aim of expanding Saudi Arabia’s growing tourism sector. He and his team are responsible for ensuring that tourism sector is attractive and offering, enabling, and facilitating domestic and international private sector investment, as well as supporting sector development by providing a seamless and informative investor journey that empowers investors to make informed investment decisions. To execute this mandate, Alharbi draws on 15 years of experience at Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) where he was Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. During his career at SAGIA, Alharbi worked on a variety of projects and investment strategies spanning multiple sectors including tourism, entertainment, logistics, real estate, sports, and others. Alharbi holds a master’s degree in management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in the United States.
