One of the most recognised and respected restaurateurs and hospitality operators in the Middle East, Solutions Group Partner and Chief Operating Officer, Sacha Daniel, has led an impressive global career, working alongside some of the biggest names in the business. Beginning in the culinary epicenter of Paris, France, Daniel undertook a diploma in a prestigious chef’s school at the age of 17, with internships across internationally recognised institutions, the Bristol Palace Hotel and The Ritz, Paris. Following the completion of his diploma, Daniel went on to obtain his University Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, gaining work placement in the US before returning to France to launch the internationally acclaimed Planet Hollywood Group in Paris, before continuing to London, UK, where he took charge of the country-wide training for the brand. Daniel’s passion, hard work and commitment to strategic, personable hospitality operations and tailored sales tactics that maximised both experience and revenue saw him grow to an integral role of the global opening team, with brand launches across Tel Aviv, Disneyland Paris, Berlin, Munich, Melbourne and Rome franchises. Stepping away from the group in 1999, Daniel joined Oliver Peyton’s London-based Gruppo in General Management roles at MASH, Great Portland Street, and then MASH, Albermale Street, Mayfair. Fast-becoming recognised as a leader in his field, he was headhunted to drive change and growth across internationally-acclaimed destinations, Gaucho, Canary Wharf and Gaucho, Chancery Lane, launching the brand in Kuwait alongside Alshaya, before returning to London to lead the operations of the superb Cocoon restaurant by Ignite Group. Relocating to the UAE in 2011, Daniel headed up the operations for Buddah Bar’s Karma Kafe concept; a Dubai icon, situated on the water’s edge of the famed fountains at the foot of the Burj Khalifa. A founding member of the Solutions Group, joining the team in 2013 as Operations Director on the acquirement of the Karma Kafe brand, today Daniel leads the operations, training, service standards and hospitality direction for a portfolio of 18 brands, driving it to be one of the most recognised and awarded in the Middle East, partnered with a handful of the world’s best in hospitality. As Partner and Chief Operating Officer for the group, he is responsible for the enjoyment of over 140,000 guests each month across the venues, heading up over 1000 hospitality rockstars and working alongside founders Paul Evans and Freek Teusink to drive the group global as a pioneer of the eatertainment sector.
