Mr. Khalid Abuhaimed is recognized as one of the Kingdom’s top business leaders and is well-known for his track record of success, leadership and strategic vision across several organizations in both the private and public sectors. Beginning his career in banking, Mr. Abuhaimed held a variety of positions from 1997 to 2009 with SAMBA (now part of SNB) and Emirates Bank (now Emirates NDB). In 2009, Mr. Abuhaimed joined the Al Rajhi Investment Group, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading business groups, where, over the course of a decade, he undertook several management roles and was ultimately appointed as the Group’s Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Mr. Abuhaimed played the key role in successfully driving the Group’s growth and diversification plan, including developing a hospitality project in Mecca with over 6500 keys and concluding the largest hotel management agreement ever undertaken at the time with two international global brands. In 2019, Mr. Abuhaimed was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Camel Club, a Saudi governmental organization dedicated to preserving, caring for and promoting camels as a cherished part of the Kingdom’s heritage. Under Mr Abuhaimed’s leadership, the club experienced unprecedented growth and success, becoming a focal point for camel enthusiasts, advocates and research. Mr. Abuhaimed’s strategic vision and passion for cultural heritage played a pivotal role in expanding the Camel Club's reach and impact and positioning it as a leader in implementing the Kingdom’s cultural and heritage vision. In 2020, Mr. Abuhaimed assumed the role of Group Chief Executive Officer for Al Khozama Investment Company, the investment arm of the King Faisal Foundation. Al Khozama owns and operates the Al Faisaliah District in Riyadh, which includes the iconic Al Faisaliah Tower, the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Hotel, the Al Faisaliah Mall, the King Faisal Foundation Building and several top restaurants including LPM, Mamo and Yauatcha. At Al Khozama, Mr. Abuhaimed also created Maiz, the Kingdom’s premier Saudi fine-dining restaurant, which is located in Diriyah, and expanded the Company’s hotel management business in the Central and Western regions. Mr Abuhaimed’s dynamic leadership in the hospitality and F&B sectors, coupled with his commitment to Saudi heritage, has positioned the Company for future success in the rapidly expanding hospitality and tourist industry, which is a central pillar of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 Plan. In addition to his role at Al Khozama, Mr. Abuhaimed holds several board positions in the hospitality sector and serves on the board of Landmark Arabia, one of the largest private sector retailers in the Kingdom. Mr Abuhaimed is widely recognized in Saudi Arabia for his leadership, vision, integrity and ability to drive organizational change.
