CEO, Tilal Real Estate Development Company Founder & Executive Chairman of AWN Enterprises Board member Baheej Tourism Development Company Abdulrahman AlBassam is a fourth-generation member of AlBassam & Sons, one of the GCC’s oldest family businesses, and his personal commitment is to bring innovation and enthusiasm to the renowned enterprise. Abdulrahman’s entrepreneurial aspirations have however expanded even further. He founded together with his wife Norah AlTamimi AWN Enterprises in 2009 to manage a portfolio of investments. AWN has the strategic advantage of having the flexible entrepreneurial structure with the background and strong affiliation of legacy companies; that is AlBassam & Sons (found in 1914) and Tamimi Group (found in 1953). Abdulrahman is a founder and board member of several companies in the Professional Services and Hospitality sectors; the latest is Tilal Real Estate Development Company of which he serves as CEO and Baheej Tourism Development Company of which he serves as a Board Member and member of the Executive Committee. He is also a member in organizations such as the Asharqia Chamber Board of Directors and the Saudi Leaders Society. Abdulrahman is a Misk 2030 Leader, TEDx speaker, volunteers as a mentor for young entrepreneurs in profound incubators such as KFUPM Institute of Entrepreneurship and holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and a BSc in Geophysics from the University of Calgary (Canada).
