Tapan graduated from the renowned Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, India, paving the way for a 17-year career at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, including the world’s leading, award-winning “palace” hotels such as Oberoi Udaivilas, Oberoi Amarvilas and Oberoi Rajvilas and the unique 25-luxury tented camp Oberoi Vanyavilas, with conservation and sustainability at its heart. Tapan’s Middle East experience began in Egypt, one of the most established leisure destinations then, with the ultra-luxury Oberoi yacht-style Nile cruiser, redefining cruising benchmarks in Egypt. The successful opening of Oberoi Dubai followed in 2013 which involved handling royalty and heads of states. A deeply enriching experience of asset management, project planning, and repositioning with a private family office in Abu Dhabi was completed prior to joining Valor Hospitality Middle East in 2020. Today, Tapan is COO, Middle East& CIS for Valor Hospitality Partners, focused on Business Development. The company operates over 900 keys in Dubai, UAE, with over 1600 keys under development across UAE, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Oman across multiple global hotel brands.
