Michael Thorley is a Project Director Dar Engineering currently seconded to Expro : the Expenditure and Project Efficiency Authority. Michael's extensive experience has spanned across the design, delivery and management of complex, large-scale, and industry-leading projects across the Middle East and Oceania. His broad international expertise has been garnered while managing a range of projects delivering high-end design management, multi-disciplinary team leadership, broad-scale construction supervision and large-scale mixed-use developments. He has a thorough understanding of international best practices related to both design and delivery and has experience leading various stakeholders, consultants and authorities to full and complete project delivery. He has previously offered consulting advice to various Government Bodies and has delivered projects for a number of high-profile clients. Michael is an inclusive project leader and he is focused on providing sustainable, livable, and innovative design solutions to institutional clients and the public they serve. In his current role, Michael is responsible for the growing team that is supporting the Project Implementation Department, providing assistance with the Efficiency in Project Delivery and Expenditure across Saudi Arabia. Michael holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Western Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the same institution and is chartered with the Australian Institute of Architects.
