Abdulhalim Awlia

Regional Operations Specialist
NEOM Hotel Division

Abdulhalim is responsible for managing and supporting the operations and development of hotel projects. He is also tasked with engaging hotel brands for the purpose of exploring opportunities at NEOM. Abdulhalim’s previous experience at Marriott Hotels and Saudi Arabian Logistics – including developing assessment tools, managing front-office and restaurant operations, organizing workflow and resolving customer issues – enables him to successfully manage a wide range of assignments for NEOM Hotel Development. He has handled a Capstone project aimed at tackling the future of sustainability at NEOM, and is an active participant at industry events to help promote Neom Hotel Development’s overarching vision. Abdulhalim is also a member of the judging committee at the Sustainability Hospitality Challenge Fluent in English and Arabic, Abdulhalim successfully completed NEOM’s GrOW specialist progam, which is known for its highly rigrous and comprehensive selection criteria, with only 70 out of 70,000 applicants being accepted in the most recent cohort. He also holds an MBA from Cleveland State University, and is a graduate of Ashland University, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management enabling him to bring an international perspective to his role.
