Malinalli Ramirez Martinez is a Mexican Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Science and Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. Her current research focuses on implementing sustainable approaches for polymeric membrane manufacturing, which can potentially help reduce the environmental footprint of industrial separation processes. She currently serves as the President of the student organization Students for Sustainability at KAUST, which is dedicated to raising awareness about sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals within KAUST and beyond through initiatives, events, outreach activities, and awareness campaigns. She was one of the 2022 KAUST BESE Division Dean's Award recipients in recognition of her outstanding academic performance and contributions. She was awarded third place in the poster presentation category at the 2023 KAUST Research Conference on Membranes and Porous Materials for Vision 2030. Malinalli holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Engineering from KAUST and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico.
