Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 08-05-2023: KSA's Tourism Development Fund (TDF) announced today the signing of a financing agreement with Golden Frond Hotel Services Company, a subsidiary company of the Afyaa Group to develop the ENVI Al Nakheel ecolodge in Al-Ahsa Oasis. The agreement demonstrates the commitment of both parties to advance sustainable tourism development, in line with the objectives of KSA’s National Tourism Strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The announcement of this agreement coincided with the FHS Future Hospitality Summit held in Riyadh from May 7 to May 9, 2023.

The Al-Ahsa region is one of the targeted tourist destinations and home to one of the largest oases in the world. It is the first site in the region to be registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List because of its rich archaeological features, which show evidence of human settlement in the region since the Neolithic era. These historical attractions make Al Ahsa the ideal location to create tourism facilities where visitors can enjoy its beauty and charm.

The Future Hospitality Summit witnesses the participation of a number of senior government figures, officials from the tourism and hospitality industry, as well as prominent developers, investors, hotel owners and operators, to discuss prospects for the growth and development of the tourism and hospitality sector in the Kingdom.

The agreement ratifies the importance of the Al-Ahsa region, which is one of the ten targeted tourist destinations. ENVI Al Nakheel will provide 25 lodging pods consisting of one- and two-bedroom units. The destination will also include several facilities such as farm-to-table dining, spa, local arts & crafts, and a selection of unique activities. The lodge will be operated by ENVI Lodges - the eco-friendly, premium-quality luxury lodge brand. The project development is managed by Compass and BIC.

Al-Ahsa is distinguished by its historical and cultural heritage sites, as it is one of the most important destinations within the focus of The National Tourism Strategy, aiming at raising the number of tourism opportunities in Saudi Arabia in line with Vision 2030.”

ENVI Al Nakheel, which is expected to open in Q1 2024, is the first branded eco-lodge in KSA to be developed by the private sector and funded by the TDF. The project is designed by Thai-based Fractal Architects and award-winning design firm Kristina Zanic.

TDF’s mandate is to promote and support investments and tourism projects in the targeted tourist destinations in KSA, through a package of programs, financing solutions and facilities. TDF aims to stimulate the private sector and support its contributions to the prosperous future of the Kingdom's tourism industry. The ENVI Al Nakheel project will raise the level of tourism offerings in KSA through cultural diversity, traditional methods of construction, and cutting-edge design features.

أعلن صندوق التنمية السياحي اليوم، عن توقيع اتفاقية تمويل مع شركة السعفة الذهبية التابعة لشركة أفياء لتطوير مشروع نٌزل (إنفي) النخيل البيئية -ENVI Al Nakheel ecolodges- في واحة الأحساء، وذلك في إطار التزام وسعي كلا الطرفين بدفع عجلة التنمية السياحية المستدامة بما يتماشى مع أهداف الاستراتيجية الوطنية للسياحة ورؤية المملكة 2030، وذلك بقمة الضيافة المستقبلية المنعقدة في الرياض من 7 مايو إلى 9 مايو 2023.
وتعد منطقة الأحساء إحدى الوجهات السياحية المستهدفة وموطن إحدى أكبر الواحات في العالم وأول موقع في المنطقة تم تسجيله على قائمة اليونسكو للتراث العالمي لما تزخر به من معالم أثريّة وكنوز تراثية تتبع تاريخ استيطان البشر للمنطقة منذ العصر الحجري الحديث، هذا ما جعلها منطقة جذب سياحي يتهافت عليها الزوار للاستمتاع بجمالها وسحرها، والذي نتج عنه توجه صندوق التنمية السياحي لدعم المنطقة.
حيثٌ تشهد قمة الضيافة المستقبلية عدداً من كبار الشخصيات الحكومية ومسؤولي صناعة السياحة والضيافة إلى جانب نخبة من أبرز المطورين والمستثمرين ومالكي ومشغلي الفنادق لمناقشة آفاق نمو وتطور قطاع السياحة والضيافة في المملكة.
وتؤكد الاتفاقية على أهمية منطقة الأحساء التي تعد إحدى الوجهات السياحية المستهدفة من قبل الاستراتيجية الوطنية للسياحة، وستوفر نٌزل إنفي 25 وحدة سكنية مكونة من غرفة وغرفتي نوم بالإضافة إلى ذلك تشتمل على عدة مرافق منها أماكن لتناول الطعام، والمنتجعات الصحية وأنشطة مختلفة أخرى، وسيم التشغيل من قِبل شركة -ENVI Lodges - العلامة التجارية للنزل الفاخرة عالية الجودة وصديقة البيئية وبإدارة وتنفيذ اتحاد شركتي كومباس وبيك لإدارة المشاريع العالمية.
وتعليقاً على الاتفاقية تحدث الرئيس التنفيذي لصندوق التنمية السياحي قصي بن عبد الله الفاخري:" سعداء بشراكتنا مع شركة السعفة الذهبية لتطوير نُزل (إنفي) النخيل البيئية في واحة الأحساء، حيث يصب هذا المشروع المميز الفريد من نوعه في عمق أهدافنا المتمثلة في تعزيز السياحة المستدامة، ويميز الأحساء عمقها التاريخي والثقافي والمواقع التراثية، إذ تٌعد واحدة من أهم الوجهات التي تركز عليها الاستراتيجية الوطنية للسياحة، لرفع عدد الفرص السياحية في المملكة العربية السعودية تماشياً مع رؤية المملكة 2030".
ومن جانبه قال الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة السعفة الذهبية المهندس عباس الصالح:" ممتنون لدعم صندوق التنمية السياحي لتطوير المشروع، إذ يمثل هذا الأمر علامة فارقة في صناعة السياحة السعودية، حيث إننا نعمل معا لتقديم تجارب لا تُنسَ للسياح مع اهتمامنا في الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي والطبيعي الفريد لواحة الأحساء".
من جانبه أيضا قال الشريك المؤسس لشركة- إنفي- كريس نادر:" صندوق التنمية السياحي الشريك الأمثل للمستثمرين من القطاع الخاص، حيث إننا نُقدر الدعم بهدف تطوير مشاريع سياحية نوعية بما يتماشى مع رؤية المملكة 2030. وأضاف: بإدارة من شركة السعفة الذهبية ودعم من الصندوق، سنعمل على تصميم وتشغيل مشروع صديق للبيئة في الأحساء، بحيث نتطلع قُدماً إلى تحقيق نُزلا تاريخياً سيساهم في تمركز الأحساء على الساحة السياحية العالمية ".
الجدير بالذكر أن نُزل إنفي النخيل، أول علامة تجارية بيئية في المملكة يتم تطويرها من قِبل القطاع الخاص ويمولها صندوق التنمية السياحي، ومن المتوقع افتتاح المشروع في الربع الأول من عام 2024، من تصميم شركة فراكتال للهندسة المعمارية ومقرها تايلند، وشركة كريستينا زانيك للاستشارات الحائز على عدة جوائز.
ويعمل صندوق التنمية السياحي على تعزيز ودعم الاستثمارات والمشاريع عبر حزمة من البرامج والحلول التمويلية والتسهيلات التي يستهدف من خلالها تحفيز القطاع الخاص بما يسهم في ازدهار المستقبل السياحي للمملكة. وسيعمل مشروع نُزل إنفي النخيل على رفع مستوى العروض السياحة في المنطقة من خلال التنوع الثقافي والأساليب التقليدية للبناء، ومميزات التصميم المتطورة.
