Pier Paolo Righi, CEO & President of KARL LAGERFELD, is half-Italian and half-German, and has over 30 years of experience in the international fashion, sports and lifestyle industries. Since joining KARL LAGERFELD in 2011, Righi spearheaded the launch of the KARL LAGERFELD brand and helped grow its consumer sales to more than $1.5 billion to date. For many years, he worked in tandem and close collaboration with the late design icon Karl Lagerfeld, the former creative director of his namesake House, as well as Chanel and Fendi. Under Righi’s leadership, the House has expanded globally and successfully ventured into new categories beyond fashion, including residential projects and hospitality. This includes the first KARL LAGERFELD branded luxury hotel in Macau, plus luxury residential developments in Spain, Portugal, the UAE and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining KARL LAGERFELD, Righi worked for nearly a decade at Nike, including seven years as General Manager CEMEA. He has also held various senior management positions within international groups including Tommy Hilfiger and Pentland Brands Limited. Righi has lived in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan and Paris. He currently serves in several non-executive boards across various industries.
