William Harley-Fleming is the Chief Operating Officer of Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa (MEA), overseeing the group’s growth across the region, whilst spearheading operational excellence and brand standards across the portfolio. William joined Millennium Hotels and Resorts family in August 2023, initially as Senior Vice President of Operations Middle East and Africa, however through his passion and drive for excellence was soon promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA, in April 2024. Described as a dynamic and results-oriented hospitality professional, with more than 28 years of experience. William has an impressive and diverse background working in various countries and regions, including the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. His most recent journey to the region was upon his appointment as Corporate Food and Beverage Concept Director, with JA Resorts & Hotels, back in September 2007. However, through his determination and ambition, he ascended through the ranks, achieving his first General Manager role in 2009, and later becoming Vice President of Operations for the JA group. William’s career trajectory includes holding various senior management roles with Starwood, Rezidor, JA Resorts & Hotels, and more recently with Millennium Hotels & Resorts, overseeing a diverse portfolio of more than 61 hotels, across 11 different countries, with over 16,000 colleagues with-in the region. Throughout William’s career, he has always had a strong passion in identifying, nourishing, and developing hospitality professionals, guiding and supporting their career progression, whilst fostering an environment in which our colleagues are integral to the business objectives and achievements. Wiliam also holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Manchester University, and a Diploma in Food Hygiene and Safety from The Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene UK.
