Paolo Barletta is a 37-year-old Italian serial entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. Over the past decade, he has successfully founded several companies in technology, real estate, luxury hospitality, fashion, and cinema. In September 2020, Paolo Barletta and Annabel Holding strengthened their partnership by creating a new industrial project in the hospitality Made in Italy segment. Thus, Arsenale S.p.a. company is born, whose main objective is to enhance the Italian tourism sector by investing in real estate and managing several Italian trophies. Arsenale is a significant player in the Italian market with structured agreements with the most important luxury brands, such as Soho House and Orient Express. Arsenale created its second division (Arsenale Express), focused on the development of sustainable tourism project by rail with a luxury offer, in partnership with the most renewed luxury brand in the world. The division includes the Orient Express La Dolce Vita project in partnership with the Orient Express of Accor Group, Trenitalia-Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato and Fondazione FS Italiane, a fleet of six trains that will travel in Italy at the end of 2024. Arsenale is developing a new concept of luxury rail cruising capable of expanding worldwide relying on Made in Italy know-how and manufacturing. The next trains will be Dream of the Desert (KSA); Spirit of the Union (UAE), Samarkanda Express (Uzbekistan) and The guardina of the Nile (Egypt).
