Werner Anzinger is a seasoned hospitality leader with over 25 years of exemplary experience. As General Manager & Vice President, Operations of Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the luxury hotel landscape in the Middle East. Over his 21-year tenure with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Werner has expanded his influence to oversee four landmark properties, including Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, the soon-to-open second Mandarin Oriental in Dubai, Mandarin Oriental, Doha, and the highly anticipated Mandarin Oriental, Cairo. Werner’s career with Mandarin Oriental began in 1997 at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, where his leadership potential was quickly recognized, leading to his promotion to Assistant Food and Beverage Manager by 2000. His trajectory continued with key appointments, including Executive Assistant Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Munich in 2004, and later, The Excelsior, Hong Kong in 2006, where he managed high-profile operations. Werner returned to Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London in 2007, where he successfully managed operations with a turnover of £50 million and took on the role of Acting General Manager in 2008. Further solidifying his expertise, Werner earned a Master of Business Administration from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2010. From 2011 to 2017, he served as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Prague, where he led the hotel to record profitability and received prestigious accolades for service excellence. Fluent in both English and German, Werner is a passionate traveler, avid golfer, and skier. Currently, he is expanding his linguistic skills by studying Spanish, bringing a global perspective to both his professional and personal life.
