Joanna Kurowska

Joanna Kurowska has worked for IHG Hotels & Resorts for more than 10 years and is responsible for driving business and operational performance across IHG’s UK & Ireland hotel estate, by working with owners and investors to unlock the growth potential for brands across the region. Joanna’s move into the role of Managing Director, UK&I began at the InterContinental Warsaw as Director of Finance & Business Support, before moving on to finance and operational roles across Europe. Prior to becoming the Managing Director for UK&I, Joanna’s most recent role was based in Frankfurt as Director of Operations for Northern Europe. Joanna also sits on IHG’s Europe Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Board, which helps shape priorities and pushes for progress in line with IHG’s passion and commitment to an inclusive culture – something that sits at the heart of the company’s purpose to provide True Hospitality for Good to guests, hotels, owners, colleagues and communities. Whilst working across operational and finance roles, Joanna was a mentor for the Finance Future Leader Programme and has worked closely with many reputable European hospitality schools. Joanna has a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Warsaw and is an IHG representative for several industry organisations including Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, UKHospitality and the Hospitality and Skills Board. Joanna was proudly featured in the Women to Watch and Advocates for Change in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure Index 2020.
