ASDA engages the local community in planning and implementation by creating committees comprised of local community members to identify needs, participate in implementation, involve citizens in decision-making, and evaluate projects.
ASDA has carried out three major community campaigns (Ajaweed1, Fatubainu, Ajaweed2):
Ajaweed1, Ajaweed2: A competitive community Ramadan initiative in specific tracks, in which the entire community in the Asir region participates, under the supervision of the Asir Region Development Authority and within specific criteria and conditions. The initiative aims to raise the quality level of community activities and events during Ramadan, enhance the virtues of the Ajaweed (community members), and utilize the Ajaweed's acquisitions to serve the region.
The initiative is based on four tracks that have a positive impact on human life: "Giving", which focuses on forms of charity work, caring for mosques and keeping them clean, unifying empowerment and providing opportunities, and assisting the needy and caring for the sick; "Awareness", which makes knowledge a gateway to awareness and focuses on awareness programs on media platforms and activating purposeful social activities to raise awareness through cultural and literary competitions; "Strength", which works to improve physical health, provide medical consultations, organize health campaigns, and motivate physical activity initiatives such as football leagues; and finally, "Excellence", which focuses on the governance of humanitarian tasks.
